About the founder of Move Free LLC - Dr. Robert S. Kaufman

Dr. Robert S. Kaufman has worked as a physical therapist in New York City for more than 16 years.  He is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedics (OCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS).  He is certified in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (Cert. MDT), as a Functional Movement Screen (FMS) professional, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) professional, Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 1 practitioner.  Robert is trained in Active Release Technique (ART) and is a certified ASTYM practitioner.  He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Touro College, where he graduated as valedictorian.  Robert has completed both the McKenzie method of MDT and the Integrated Systems Model coursework in its entirety.  Command of these approaches has uniquely provided him the framework to incorporate all other course work taken into a systematic yet eclectic form of physical therapy.  He also has received training from the Maitland-Australian approach, Movement System Impairment approach, Integrative Manual Therapy Solutions, the Neuro Orthopaedic Institute, and the Spinal Manipulation Institute.  Robert is a former college football player and still has a strong love for sports and fitness.
